THE JOURNEY!
October 15, 2008
One of the most exciting things about starting a business is the journey of taking a primitive vision and shaping it into reality.
The idea for HomeAnatomy was set in motion years ago while I was working as an interior designer in a boutique architecture firm. Again and again, I heard from young people who were passionate about design, but assumed hiring a design professional would be impossibly complicated, expensive, or both.
I believe that good design is a lifestyle that should be affordable and accessible to everyone, but these experiences have led me to believe that my ideal is not shared by the interior design industry. And so the idea for HomeAnatomy was born--affordable, online, interior design services tailored for the Facebook generation.
The last year of my life has been exciting and challenging, as I have dedicated myself to making this revolutionary concept a reality. The journey has been amazing, and now I am proud to introduce HomeAnatomy.com to the public for the first time.
The website is in the final stages of development and is expected to go live in January 2009. It seems like a lifetime away--at least it does to me--but good things come to those who wait. In the meantime, I will be blogging about HomeAnatomy's progress and giving you a sneak peek of what's to come.
The journey has just begun!
THERE’S MORE?
October 22, 2008
It sounds too good to be true but HomeAnatomy has a lot more to offer than just affordable interior design services. In addition to one-on-one consulting HomeAnatomy will provide visual inspiration, practical advice, shopping guides, local directories and social networking.
The underlying theme behind all of these features is affordability. This will be apparent in everything we do, in every post we make, product we feature, and design we create. We aim to inspire our readers with fresh, innovative, and economical design ideas. What can be better than that? In today’s economy we are confident our readers will agree!

I would like to take this opportunity to Thank Wayne Whitesides and the entire team at Ethic Inc for creating such a spectacular website. I came to Ethic with the task of creating a functional but beautiful design and they met the challenge head-on.
They have been a wonderful partner to HomeAnatomy and we look forward to a continued partnership.
Here is a sneak peak of the website design. I look forward to the official unveiling of the HomeAnatomy in January so that you can see for yourself how truly fabulous it is.
